Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Issued by Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation
On June 15, 2024, the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to ferry design, construction, and consulting firms. This initiative aims to support the First Nation’s investigation into safe and sustainable transportation alternatives for the future. To date, the community has conducted eight meetings with global ferry construction firms and consultants.The RFQ represents the initial step in identifying a qualified firm to aid in the information-gathering process for evaluating potential transportation solutions.
