GIFL Project: Preliminary Traffic Impact Study
WSP developed a preliminary Traffic Impact Study (TIS) for incorporation into the Detailed Project Description (DPD).
This TIS outlined recommendations for intersection control types, lane arrangements at key intersections, and storage lengths for dedicated left-turn and right-turn lanes across three alignment options.
The critical intersections assessed include the Fixed Link at Black River Road, the junction of Black River Road and Park Road on the mainland, and the intersection of Chief Joseph Snake Road and Bear Road on the island.
The insights from the TIS will serve as valuable inputs for the conceptual design of the Fixed Link.
